Getting confused by the Giants in Week 11 cements the fact the Chiefs are much closer to a weak pack of AFC wild-card contenders than to Pittsburgh or New England.

Womens Carl Hagelin Jersey The last thing San Francisco wants Christopher Gibson Womens Jersey to do is desperately rush Garoppolo into live action in an attempt to win at least one game this season. Given how rookie place-holder C.J. Beathard has been sacked 14 times in three games, plus the absence of top wide receiver Pierre Garcon, it’s not like Garoppolo would be stepping into a QB-friendly situation.
That means Garoppolo obviously should not make his San Francisco debut in Week 12 just because the game vs. Seattle comes after the bye. Then again, using a pricey franchise tag on him in 2018, before he even plays a down for the Niners, doesn’t make the most sense.
After Andy Reid’s team laid a rotten egg in Sunday’s 12-9 overtime loss to the previously one-win Giants, Kansas City’s impressive, explosive Week 1 win at New England is long forgotten. So is the five-game winning streak that victory sparked, including the defeat of the one-loss Eagles in Week 2.
Now the Chiefs are 6-4 after having dropped four of their past five games. For the most part, their offense has been inept, with fewer of the big pass plays that happened early in the season and rookie Kareem Hunt fading hard in a sputtering running game.
Given the nature and consequence of a 36-17 defeat against the Patriots in last season’s AFC championship game, it was no particular surprise the Steelers’ 2017 offseason was defined by the attempt to close that gap. The goal is a championship, and the team is reasonably close, so it was essential to address whatever weaknesses existed in the pursuit of another playoff victory, or two, that would take Pittsburgh back to the league’s summit.
